Traditional applications of nanotags generally require the uniform application of nanotag-containing adhesive onto the surface of the product. While effective, this method is complex and time-consuming.
The adhesive application requires precise control and must dry under suitable environmental conditions, adding to the complexity of the anti-counterfeiting process and increasing dependency on environmental factors. Any mishandling or changes in environmental conditions could affect the performance of the nanotag, thereby compromising the anti-counterfeiting effect.
To address these challenges, the invention of the Ghost Label was introduced. This innovative approach directly embeds the nanotag into the middle transparent security layer, forming a self-contained label structure.
The anti-counterfeiting transfer label consists of four layers: adhesive layer, security layer, printing layer, and release layer. The security layer is positioned on the upper surface of the adhesive layer, the printing layer on the upper surface of the security layer, and the release layer on the upper surface of the printing layer. During use, the entire label is directly affixed to the substrate, fully pressed, and then the release layer is peeled away from the upper surface of the printing layer, leaving only the transparent printing and security layers adhered to the substrate.
The printing layer contains the nanotag ID and a QR code for verification. The nanotag is embedded in the transparent security layer, allowing it to be clearly identified and verified using specific optical equipment. This design simplifies the anti-counterfeiting process to that of a standard labeling procedure, significantly improving operational convenience and production efficiency.
Compared to traditional spraying methods, the Ghost Label eliminates the steps of spraying and drying, reducing potential operational errors while ensuring the stability and longevity of the nanotag within the label. As the nanotag is encapsulated within the label, it is protected from external environmental degradation, further enhancing the anti-counterfeiting performance. Moreover, the embedded design allows the Ghost Label to appear visually identical to an ordinary label, while its internal nanostructure provides robust, invisible anti-counterfeiting capabilities.
